Replacement of tires.
It is not always
possible to replace a tire with another one of one type or another.
For best performance, we recommend
the same size and type of tire be used on all four wheel positions unless the
vehicle manufacturer specified different sizes, front and rear, as original
equipment. Check the vehicle placard. If only two radials are mounted with
two non-radials, the radials should be mounted on the rear. If tires of
different types are mixed on a vehicle in any configuration, they should not
be used for long periods and speeds should be kept to a minimum.
Replacing the
tire, one should always check the
standard size, ply rating and the load carrying limits (at
the given maximal speed) of the automobile tires which were suggested by the
manufacturer.
Before mounting the
wider tires on the automobile make sure
that they will not touch the
arches of a body at full loading , at the turning angle of the wheels in
extreme positions or details of a
suspension bracket.
For the best
exploitation of the automobile one should use tires of the same model,
standard size made by the same
manufacturer on all wheels.
Never use tires
of different sizes, types and trade
pattern on one bridge of the automobile.
